Grade 1-12. Mikkonen Music offers thirty-minute after-school lessons in piano, guitar, and ukulele. Indicate what instrument you want to book lesson for when registering. Lessons are held weekly in eight-week sessions throughout the school year. Recitals are held in May. Please Note: Before registering with Community Education you must schedule your lesson time with Mikkonen Music. Click here to schedule your lesson times. The registration fee covers one set of eight lessons, and you can re-register and pay for additional blocks as the school year progresses. Fall is in the air! With that comes apple season. This is the time of year to make the very best apple pie. Students rave about this fun class!If you say, “I can’t make pies” then this class is for you. Nancy will take you through all the steps, from making a crust, to preparing all the filling for your pie using the freshest apples. You will be surprised how easy it is! Each student will leave class with a hot apple pie to share with family and friends. Boxes will be provided. Please bring a rolling pin, if you have one. Supply fee of $15.00 paid to instructor in class.

Ages 2.5-5 Mini Me Rookies is an early childhood sport and movement program designed specifically for children ages 2.5-4. Young children explore fundamental movement skills including running, jumping, kicking, throwing, and balancing through cooperative games, obstacle courses, and playful sport introductions such as soccer, t-ball, and basketball. The program supports gross motor development, listening skills, and social-emotional learning in a nurturing, high-energy environment. Bring your own water bottle.

In this cozy, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the magical art of needle felting as we turn soft, fluffy wool into charming handmade ornaments. With a special barbed needle and colorful wool fibers, you’ll poke, shape, and sculpt your way to festive creations—think cute snowmen, tiny trees, jolly Santas, or sweet winter animals! $10 fee for supplies payable to instructor at class.

Learn to Create a needle felted witch out of wool roving. Learn to use felting needles, Core wool, and colorful felt batting to create a cute little witch that can be for your home or be given as a gift.

Grades 1-3 Participants tackle a variety of obstacle course challenges designed to build agility, balance, coordination, and teamwork. Sessions include fun movement challenges that keep participants active and engaged. No prior experience is required. Bring your own water bottle & nut-free snack.
