Beat Boxing: Vocal Percussion

Human Beat Boxing is FUNdamental! Terrell X is out to show the world that Human Beat Boxing is FUN for everybody. This workshop offers background on the history of Human Beat Boxing, along with exercises showing how and why the body is an instrument. Participants will ask and answer questions as they make sounds with their hands, mouth and feet.  Microphone and pedal demonstration is included. COMPAS Teaching Artist Terrell X has spent 30 years making music, performing live as a one-man band, touring the world and sharing stages with musical icons.  He has spent 16 years teaching Human Beat Boxing/vocal percussion.
