American Red Cross - Lifeguard Instructor Training - Blended Learning
* Blended Learning Class: a link will be emailed one week prior to class beginning with online class curriculum, email address required. The online portion of this class MUST be completed prior to the first night of class.
This course trains instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer courses. Age Prerequisite: Students must be 17 years old by the last day of the class. Certification Prerequisite: Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Skill Prerequisites: Successful completion of Life-guarding swimming prerequisites, demonstration of
competency with Life-guarding skills, and demonstration of competency when responding to scenarios involving rescues and emergency care. Students must complete the online portion of the course (2-3 hours in length) before participating in the water skills sessions. Once registered information for accessing the online portion of the course will be emailed to the student, approximately seven days before the class begins. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory, be prepared to be both in and out of the water each day.
